Conventional Knee Replacement has been around since the 1970s. 1 in 5 patients has unsatisfactory experience after a conventional knee replacement surgery. With robotic knee surgery, the primary aim is to improve the post surgical outcome for patients.

Our robotic knee surgery at Ipoh Specialist Hospital started in August 2024 with CUVIS fully automated robotic system. With more cases done, we realised that our understanding on robotic knee surgery is limited. This is when we decide that to fully experience the robotic advantage, we need to be trained by experts who have done thousands of robotic knee cases. Our journey took us to Northern India ,in the state of Rajasthan where we learned advanced robotic knee replacement skills.

Our first patients outcome of walking independently in JUST 4 DAYS after knee surgery is probably among the earliest , or even the earliest such video in Malaysia to showcase outcome of advance robotic knee surgery done right. Since then, our patients recovery has been optimised further and our robotic knee patients starts to walk independently right from their first steps at JUST 3 Hours post surgery.

怡保专科中心（Ipoh Specialist Hospital）于2024年8月启用了CUVIS全自动机器人系统，开展机器人辅助膝关节手术。随着手术病例的积累，我们意识到自己对这项技术的理解尚有局限。为了充分发挥机器人手术的优势，我们决定向那些拥有数千例手术经验的专家深造学习。为此，我们远赴印度北部的拉贾斯坦邦（Rajasthan），学习了先进的机器人辅助膝关节置换技术。
掌握了新的技能与知识后，我们制定了全新的手术方案，重新开展了这项服务。我们首位患者在术后仅4天便能独立行走；这或许是马来西亚最早展示此类先进机器人膝关节手术卓越成效的视频记录之一。此后，患者的康复效果得到了进一步优化，如今我们的患者在术后短短3小时内，迈出康复后的第一步时，便已能够独立行走。
听起来难以置信？如果当初有人告诉我们这些，我们恐怕也很难相信。正因如此，我们分享真实患者的康复过程，以此展示我们的工作成果——真实的患者，真实的康复。
